The Arch is excited to present its first collaboration with Amsterdam-based artist Popel Coumou. The widely exhibited photographer presents a truly original vision and novel approach to photography, unrestrained by traditional guidelines. Paper collages combined with miniature clay still lifes form the common thread that binds Popel's extensive work. By photographing her creations, then enlarging and printing the resulting image, Popel creates work that seems to hold the mid ground between painterly abstraction and geometric photography.
